About James

Born in Augsburg, Germany, to American parents, European culture profoundly impacted James’ young artistic mind and continues to influence him even today. He presently makes a living as a Senior Graphic Designer while pursuing a separate career in the fine art world as an oil painter.  Heavily influenced by the works of John Singer Sargent, Degas, and even James Wyeth, he struggles to find his own sense of style and place in the history of art.

James resides in Hampton Roads Virginia, with his son William and their two Shetland Sheepdogs.
