I just joined “Etsy” and set -up an avenue for purchasing my art. Etsy is a site that offers only hand made items for sale. Just at the moment I am only offering 5×7 inch prints, matted in a neutral color to fit an 8×10 frame. Each of my original paintings offered has been professionally reproduced using archival pigment inks on heavy acid-free watercolor paper for longevity. I have personally overseen each print in its production stage. This offers someone the chance to own my work without a large price tag..

Some of the prints represent original pieces that have been sold and this is the only way to own one. I’ll offer larger prints If interest builds.

Original oil paintings, watercolours and pencil sketches will be available for purchase as well in the Original section which will be set-up shortly.

I’ve always had a fascination with the working boats we see daily in the mouth of the York and the James rivers. These men and women work as hard s their boats. I have wanted many times to do a painting around them. But they are so “done” here in the Mid- Atlantic, like Geese or Herons, that I hesitate to add to the problem. I found this study sketch I did a few years ago in an old sketch book last night while cleaning up in the studio. Maybe I’ll paint one someday after all.

Well I’ve decided to be more rounded and start watercolouring again. This is a sketch of the subject I want to paint. My very first watercolour subject was a bird too, a Wood Thrush. I still own it and it can be seen here in the watercolour gallery.
